Tumilty wins Sport NI Club Performance Coach for 2017

Congratulations to Banbridge Hockey Club Mens 1st XI Coach Mark Tumilty who has won Sport Northern Ireland Club Performance Coach of the Year 2017.

This award recognises the achievements of a coach working with athletes at the highest level of domestic club sport.

The award follows an exceptional 2016/2017 season in which Mark led the team to an Irish Senior Cup and EY Irish Hockey League double, losing only 1 of their 18 league games during the season. In addition, the team qualified for the last 16 of the European Hockey League, defeating Belgian and French teams in the last 32 stages. 


In addition a season of great results, Mark was singled out by nominators as a coach who keeps up with current trends, a coach who embraces fast attacking styles of play, and a coach who is extremely dedicated.
