Storm Brian can’t stop Youth Hockey!!

A storm can’t get in the way of youth hockey with both the Super 6s and Extreme 8s competitions taking part across the province this Sunday (22nd).  With locations across the country and both boys and girls taking part it promises to be an action-packed day of youth hockey. Make sure to get out and watch the future superstars of hockey in Ulster take to the hockey pitch.

On the girl’s side, we have blitzes in Dromore (Ferris Park), Ards (Londonderry Park), Elks (UUJ/ U11), Mossley (MHC / U13), Cookstown (CHC) and Belfast Harlequins (Deramore).

All blitzes will hit off with the U11’s taking part in the morning and the U13’s after lunch. Apart from the Newtownabbey region were Ulster Elks and Mossley are sharing hosting duties. Host clubs will have food on so make sure to get down get a bacon butty and watch some talented youth players show off their silky skills.

On the boy’s side, we had blitzes last Sunday at both Lisnagarvey HC and Grosvenor School. Both blitzes were impeccably run with some fantastic youth hockey on show. A big thanks to Roger/Colin and the Lisnagarvey team for organising the Garvey blitz and to Ronnie and his small army of helpers at Grosvenor.

This Sunday we see the last boys blitz of this month being played at Banbridge HC. The same format as the girls applies with U11’s in the morning and U13’s after lunch. A great chance to see some exciting and friendly matches between talented young players.

If you require any information on upcoming blitzes please get in touch!!
